    🔶 Congrats to @diamondsppwsl , our 2023 tournam 🔶 Congrats to @diamondsppwsl , our 2023 tournament champs! 🔶 ⚾️ Yesterday, Diamonds clinched the tournament after a weekend of digging deep and going undefeated! ⚾️ 🌀And a very honorable mention to our second place, @backlash_ppwsl , who fought hard all weekend and played some incredible games🌀 🏆Shout out to every team this tournament, and especially to all the new players. Hope you had a wonderful first tournament, and here’s to many more! Thank you to friends and families of our players, for coming out in droves to offer your support. What a community we have!🏆 💕Big thank you’s to the many people who made this happen: Tournament coordinators Monica and Jenni from Backlash who pivoted quickly when Mother Nature had other plans. Jax from Crescendo and Aimee from Thunder for sharing 4 board positions and looking foine while doing it. Mandy from Bombers as the porta potty czar. Kelly from Thunder for managing the umps and ensuring our first ever championship game with two women umpires who kicked butt. Neela from Beavers on all things swag and merch. Cynthia from Thunder for coordinating and managing our permits. Jenna from Bombers for managing the equipment box and ensuring we had all the tools we needed. Everyone who helped clear the fields from heavy rains Friday night, a HUGE lift. @southbarbrooklyn and @theprospectbk for hosting the after parties, every league sponsor for your continued support, and @bkbreadcafe and @empanada_loca for delivering to the fields.✨ ✨And big thanks to every single person in this league who volunteered their time - at the tournament table or otherwise!     🚨🚨TOURNAMENT UPDATE🚨🚨 Due to unsalvage 🚨🚨TOURNAMENT UPDATE🚨🚨 Due to unsalvageable field conditions, and despite the effort of so many volunteers, we are pushing back game times for Saturday’s bracket. ⏰Games will be shortened to 60 minutes, and fields have changed. All batters will start with a 1-1 count.⏰ ✨Sunday is still the same - see previous post for info.     🌟 All Stars and Legends Day 🌟 What an incre 🌟 All Stars and Legends Day 🌟 What an incredible day to love and be loved by PPWSL! ⚾️🌈 The Legends and All Stars games unified the league as players from every team came together to play ball. Special thanks to all Legends for traveling from near and far to take back field 1 and make the day what it is! From tie dye fun and delicious @sandwichgirlnyc sandwiches, to thrilling field games like the home run derby, race around the bases, and a throwing contest, it was a major success! 🥪 🎨 🏆⚾️ Hats off to the winners, who showcased their talent and sportsmanship, earning prizes from @windsortavernbklyn, @bksluggers, and tickets to a @nyliberty game! 🎉🏀 We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors for their support and contributions. 🙏💙 But above all, we want to express our deep gratitude to all the league volunteers who made this event possible. 💪❤️ Their dedication, planning, and coordination ensured the day ran smoothly and joyously. 🌟🤩 From the Legends and All Stars coaches, to the merch table sellers, and everyone in between, there are no small jobs and every single person contributes to make these types of events so special.
